Traditionally Americana,  a Motique™ is a former motel that has been renovated with stylish attention to detail usually only seen in boutique hotels. 

Often mid-century modern in design, most came during the advent of automobiles in the mid 20th century.

Motiques™ celebrate the unique history of not only motels but also cabins, motor lodges, converted millhouses, airstream parks, and more.  The term motel originated in 1925 when Arthur Heineman could not fit the entire name of his “Milestone Motor Hotel” on the rooftop so he abbreviated Motor Hotel to Mo-Tel…and a new nomenclature was born!
