Islamorada is otherwise known as the ‘Village of Islands,’ a collection of six islets famous for their coral reefs and rich marine life, and the hotel sits in the middle, 80 miles equidistant from Miami and Key West, and just 17 from Key Largo. Its largely residential location also helps to filter out much of the tourist buzz.

Originally the Sunset Inn, this midcentury concrete hotel surrounded by prosaic Florida Keys was remodeled in the early 2000s into Casa Morada.
