Some History
Roadrunner Lodge Motel was originally two different properties. The older portion, on the west side, was built in 1947 as La Plaza Court. Agnes Leatherwood built Leatherwood Manor in 1964. The properties ran separately for many years. In 1985 someone bought both of them. They combined the properties into one motel and the owners extended the lobby to cover both properties. And then the old La Plaza Court lobby and living quarters became multi-room guest suites.
