Rhodes Motor Lodge
The Property
Rhodes Motor Lodge is a 54-room Motique® on Highway 321 in Boone, North Carolina, tucked into the Blue Ridge Mountains with all 54 rooms facing the southern sky and rolling mountain views. The property was originally built in 1958 as Greene's Motel and fully reimagined in 2023 into a modern mountain lodge with mid-century bones intact. The expansive front porch has rocking chairs, communal tables, and a fire pit, and the lobby centers around a mid-century circular fireplace with a pool table and games. The on-site restaurant, Over Yonder, serves an Appalachian-rooted menu with a full bar. Lobby-level rooms are classic drive-up style, and upper-floor rooms have balconies.

Some History
The Rhodes Motor Lodge property dates to 1958, when it was built as Greene's Motel by Thomas Grant Greene and his wife Ruth. The family operated it for years before it passed through several owners and fell into disrepair. Loden Hospitality fully renovated and reopened it as Rhodes Motor Lodge in 2023. The name pays tribute to the rhododendrons that bloom each spring and early summer on the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains.
